SEEK AN INHERITANCE IN THE EARTH
This truth from the Lord’s beatitudes is not a condemnation but a beautiful promise. The meek shall be awarded with an inheritance on this earth upon which we stand.
The restoration movement through the instrumentality of the prophet Joseph Smith Junior gives the world a new perspective and insight regarding the final destiny of mankind. As far as I know it is the only church introducing the fact that, “the earth abides a celestial law,” and that notwithstanding it shall die it shall also be renewed again just as our physical bodies shall be resurrected with a new eternal body. We are also told that those who are able to live by a portion of the celestial law will then inherit the celestial glory and receive an inheritance in Christ’s Kingdom on the renewed earth.
“. . . I have made the earth rich, and, behold, it is my footstool: wherefore, again I will stand upon it; and I hold forth and deign to give unto you greater riches, even a land of promise; a land flowing with milk and honey, upon which there shall be no curse when the Lord cometh; and I will give it unto you for the land of your inheritance, if you seek it with all your hearts: and this shall be my covenant with you, Ye shall have it for the land of your inheritance, and for the inheritance of your children for ever, while the earth shall stand; and ye shall possess it again in eternity, no more to pass away.” D&C 38:4d- f
It is interesting that the earth is referred to as a living being. We have been told that though it shall die, it shall be renewed again with eternal life. The Doctrine and Covenants gives an instant where the earth speaks, “. . . Enoch looked upon the earth, and he heard a voice from the bowels thereof, saying, Woe, woe is me the mother of men! I am pained: I am weary because of the wickedness of my children! When shall I rest, and be cleansed [sanctified] from the filthiness which has gone forth out of me? When will my Creator sanctify me, that I may rest, and righteousness, for a season, abide upon my face?” D&C 36:10a, b
This is not so difficult to accept when we consider that every particle of our temporal bodies is derived from the composition of this earth. “And I, the Lord God, formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul; the first flesh upon the earth, the first man also;” “ Genesis 2:8
“And the resurrection from the dead is the redemption of the soul; and the redemption of the soul is through him who quickeneth all things, in whose bosom it is decreed, that the poor and the meek of the earth shall inherit it. Therefore, it [the earth] must needs be sanctified from all unrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the celestial glory; for after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father; that bodies who are of the celestial kingdom may possess it for ever and ever; for, for this intent was it made and created; and for this intent are they sanctified. And they who are not sanctified through the law which I have given unto you, even the law of Christ, must inherit another kingdom, even that of a terrestrial kingdom, or that of a telestial kingdom.” D&C 85:4b-5a
Although mankind has fallen short of the glory of God by disobeying the commandments and laws of God, it appears that the earth is not guilty of this; “And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law. Wherefore, it shall be sanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall die, it shall be quickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the righteous shall inherit it:” D&C 85:6a, b
This scripture equates the righteous with the meek, for it is predicted in one place that the meek shall inherit the earth and in this case the righteous shall. This quickened earth or eternal earth will still obey a celestial law only more perfectly and mankind who shall inherit it must finally also obey a celestial law. This celestial law is the law of the kingdom of God and if we will participate in it we must begin to recognize the need to establish the requirements for God’s kingdom on earth as predicted.
We become members of his kingdom upon receiving our baptisms, which symbolizes the death of the body and the grave. We then receive a new spirit which is the spirit of God or the Holy Ghost. From that time forward we are written in the Book of Life becoming sons and daughters of the most High God. We, in effect, agree to step out of the old world with loyalties to the old world and into his kingdom with loyalty only for our king and the King of kings over all the kings of the earth.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
“And unto him who loved us, be glory; who washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God, his Father. To him be glory and dominion, forever and ever. Amen.” Revelations 1:6
Many churches teach that once saved always saved and that a saved person cannot fall. But if we would ask them if a saved person could sin I believe they would admit that they not only could but probably would. Some would claim that the so called saved person was not saved at all thus accounting for his ability to sin. We believe that in this evil world man is prone to sin and all have fallen short but also believe the counsel of John, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”1 John 1:9, 10
Repentance [to sin no more] and forgiveness is the remedy for sin, and the way provided to come closer to God and true righteousness.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
When the cutoff date finally arrives and it is declared that there will be time no longer, it will be too late to change and repent, and the prophecy in Revelations will be declared!
“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelations 22:11
“And the Lord said unto me, Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men, and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; Yea, born of God, changed from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters; and thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in no wise inherit the kingdom of God.” BoM Mosiah 11:187
When we go to school we attempt to qualify ourselves for a trade or profession that we did not previously possess. If we would seek to receive an inheritance on the earth as promised to the meek and righteous, we should begin preparing immediately and not put it off, as we do not know the day nor hour when our Lord shall return and call all before him to judge the quick and the dead.
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Luke 11:10 §

I want to qualify myself as a fully believing member of the original church of Jesus Christ along with the teachings of the Book of Mormon and the 1835 Doctrine and Covenants. I came out of the RLDS church when it began to lean to the desires of the world instead of the Word of God. When I looked back at this church that I loved, I saw that it had some very serious problems following the laws of God and of mixing resolutions with commandments. This does not mean that I think those who are in the RLDS are lost to God and I believe that there are many priesthood and members that are orthodox latter day saints. In the Church of Jesus Christ Restored 1830 we have declared that we accept those priesthood and members who were baptized by authority and ordained by authority that was conferred down through the years from the original Heavenly messengers sent to Joseph and Oliver and who have not broken their baptismal or priesthood covenants. You will have to answer to yourselves and to God if you qualify under these requirements for God is your judge. One thing I am pretty sure of is that we cannot go back and right or reform what was wrong. God said we do not put new wine in old bottles, and I think this fits our situation. We cannot undue the decision to ordain women to priesthood duties. We cannot undue the decision to recognize or accept an unrepentant lifestyle of homosexuality for any reason. We cannot go back and say that we no longer solemnize marriage for eternity or seal our families to us. But we can go back to a divergent point in our wonderful history when we followed only God’s laws for the governing of his church.
I was reviewing a Mormon oriented web site the other day and noticed that it was expressing the anguish of some members of the Utah based church concerning the many changes that have been made over the past years to what was accepted as doctrine. I can understand their frustration. If it was a part of my basic belief system it would cause me to ask the question, why had the church discontinued polygamy when it was required by their scriptures to obtain the Celestial Glory and why did it reverse itself on the black priesthood issue as contained in the Book of Abraham? Then another was the question of the principle of blood atonement; of Adam being god etc. etc. The site I mentioned tried to explain that these changes in doctrine did not destroy the validity of the church or it’s desirability as a religion. It interested me and made me want to learn more about these inconsistencies. I studied them a little and attempted to create a time line that described these inconsistencies. This gave me an idea as to when they were introduced and then when they were discontinued.
The church’s justification given for them was another matter, and I found it difficult to accept that they were justified as consequences of an order from the General Authorities of the church. This belief resembles the supreme authority of that exercised by the Roman Catholic Church which holds that the Pope has total authority and cannot error in matters of faith and morals, or even a president of the United States using executive orders and bypassing congress.
Throughout church history there has been a contributing factor that caused church members to accept orders without question from the General Authorities. One such error was and still is to some extent the tradition of elevating [venerating] the one called to be, “The Prophet of the church.” There is no scriptural basis for this type of veneration. If one will make a study of the Doctrine and Covenants they will find that there is no such office or calling as the, “Prophet of the church.” The term Prophet is only found once in the RLDS version of the Doctrine and Covenants. But it is specific when clarifying and enumerating the gifts which are bestowed upon a, “President of the High Priesthood” who is also the president of the church. It reads; “And again, the duty of the president of the office of the high priesthood is to preside over the whole church, and to be like unto Moses. Behold, here is wisdom, yea, to be a seer, a revelator, a translator, and a prophet; having all the gifts of God which he bestows upon the head of the church.” D&C 104:42, b
To be a prophet is only one of the many gifts bestowed upon the President of the High Priesthood, it is not a title. The RLDS church held the belief in succession and that only a son of the “Prophet” could succeed him.
Note: If any legitimate President of the High Priesthood was totally like Moses [who was of the tribe of Levi], his son would not have a right to lead Israel for Moses ordained Joshua the son of Nun, of the tribe of Ephraim, as his successor. After his ordination by Moses, Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan River and subdued the Promised Land.
“And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him; and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.” Deuteronomy 34:9
Joseph Smith Jr., made the statement that a prophet was only a prophet when prophesying. The brethren often questioned Joseph when he would expound a subject if what he was saying was from God or from Joseph. I share a quotation from the Utah History of the Church Vol. 2 Page 528. Joseph was quoted, “Visited with a brother and sister from Michigan, who thought that a prophet is always a prophet’; but I told them that a prophet was a prophet only when he was acting as such.”
Brigham Young had this to say about his authority;
“There is a difference of opinion as to getting the word of the Lord; but if you will read and cultivate the Spirit of God, you will understand how it is obtained. The Lord is not everywhere in person; but he has his agents speaking and acting for him. His angels, his messengers, his apostles and servants are appointed and authorized to act in his name. And his servants are authorized to counsel and dictate in the greatest and what might be deemed the most trifling matters to instruct, direct and guide his Saints.” Discourses of Brigham Young, p.41
It appears that there were a few mistakes in Brigham Young’s reasoning.
First; Scriptures indicate, and the faithful confirm, that those who belong to God have received his Spirit not only to be with them but also to dwell within them.
“One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:5, 6
Secondly; Brigham held an erroneous belief in the dictatorial authority of a President of the High Priesthood.
“. . .neither shall anything be appointed unto any of this church contrary to the church covenants, for all things must be done in order and by common consent in the church, by the prayer of faith.” D&C 27:4c
Thirdly; A General Assembly is required for church authorities to place documents before the church so that they might be examined, discussed, and voted upon as quorums. Free agency is trampled upon with the imposition of doctrine by any authority when that doctrine has not gone through the various quorums of a General Assembly of the Saints. A member must give his or her consent within their quorum in order to accept new revelations of God and to change something that has been accepted as doctrine binding upon all members to follow.
The Laws of God cannot be changed and new revelations cannot be accepted without a full General Assembly action.
The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints made this same mistake in venerating the ‘Prophet.’ This led them to believe that only a direct descendent of Joseph Smith could occupy the office of President of the High Priesthood. This does not take into consideration that man is prone to sin and the president of the church is a man. There is no place in scripture that indicates that a literal descendent of Joseph Smith must occupy the seat of the first presidency. “And think not to say within yourselves, We are the children of Abraham, and we only have power to bring seed unto our father Abraham; for I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children into Abraham.” Matthew 3:36 It would follow that the seed of Joseph are also those who follow what God has brought forth through Joseph Smith Jr. I believe that many would agree that the literal seed of Joseph went into apostasy when they introduced doctrines that were heresy into the church.
We have long decried the belief of Catholics that the Pope claims infallibility when speaking on faith and morals, but should we not also apply this to those who claim leadership in the restoration? I sincerely believe that the many mistakes made by both the RLDS AND THE LDS churches were due to an unscriptural veneration of a man. Jesus continually taught that those who would be greatest of all must be the servant of all. We must be careful before accepting the commands of man. Joseph was questioned numerous times when he would come with something somewhat new. They would ask Joseph, is this of God or of Joseph and he would qualify what he said.
“For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been, from the fall of Adam, and will be, for ever and ever;” BoM Mosiah 1:119
Joseph gave us the pattern to keep us from error and for establishing the doctrine that we should live by. He received revelations that were reviewed and assembled by a selected committee. In the General Assembly of 1835 Lectures on Faith and selected revelations were placed before the quorums of the church for approval and passed through all the quorums with a favorable vote before it became a law unto the church and binding upon the body. This action brought forth the Doctrine and Covenants. There were two authorized General Assemblies conducted during the life time of Joseph Smith Jr. These were conducted in 1834 to authorize the compilation of the doctrine and laws of the church and in 1835 to approve them.
There were no new revelations approved by the church gathered in a General Assembly setting during the period of nine years before the death of Joseph Smith Jr. The 1844 edition of the Doctrine and Covenants was published by Brigham Young. It was the Apostle, Brigham Young who added numerous sections to the Doctrine and Covenants in the name of Joseph, including the revelation that was supposed to have been given in August 1838 at Far West on tithing. So I would have to ask, how could these added sections of the Doctrine and Covenants become law without the required common consent of the body in an Assembly action? The tithing law was published in late 1844 and supposedly given to Joseph Smith in 1838. I do not know why it was not published or known by the body before 1844. If it was not the right time for the body to know about this version of the tithing law until 1844, I cannot understand why God gave it prematurely. The same can be said about the purported revelation on plural marriage. If it was given in 1843 but could not be legally practiced before going before the body for common consent, why did not God wait until the body seemingly approved it in Utah in 1852?
Then we come to the Book of Abraham that created controversy concerning Blacks and the priesthood. This one is difficult for me. The claim is that the papyri that was in the mummy cases bought by Joseph and which were translated by him, contained writings of Abraham and Moses. As far as I can gather even though Joseph proceeded to translate these papyri, they were not brought before a General Assembly during Joseph’s lifetime to accept or reject as scripture for the church. This act of translating them did not make them doctrine to the church. The Utah church accepted and published them as part of the Pearl of Great Price I think it was in 1880. I should add that a portion of the writings of Moses were included in the Inspired Version of Scripture.
The point I am trying to make is that these teachings that had to be abandoned should not have been accepted without the approval of the body in the first place. Joseph never said that the members had to accept his council because he was the president of the High Priesthood. That teaching came later through Brigham Young.
If we ever hope to return to the revealed Word of God and build up the kingdom of Jesus Christ we must carefully search out those things that were introduced into the church’s belief systems and practices. If these beliefs and practices are found contrary to revealed scriptural truths they must be cast off as being offensive and embraced no longer, we need to go back to that old time religion. We cannot build the kingdom on errors! God’s truth does not change nor get old! the task is still out there before us and it will be accomplished, if not by us then, by someone more willing to follow god’s laws. §

Great is the lord that has been good to Israel in all his labor. It has taken a long time since the Saints could read about the good things that the Lord is doing with the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ Restored 1830 in Ivory Coast. The lord always proves himself, that he is the one that calls and places into position in his church.
In the past year the Lord has worked with the church and all the members. There was a time when I was sick and it was very bad I saw the Lord of the restoration and he stood beside me all the day. I want you as saints to always give thanks to the Lord for all things he is doing and that he has done for you and for me. I
want to encourage you to be ready, that when your situation comes to doubt or to trust him that he is behind you. The father has passed through all the problems.
The saints in ivory coast are doing fine as poor as we are; we give thanks; as helpless we give thanks in all things. I want you to give thanks to God in all things. He is able to do all things for the children and the saints. The members of the School of Prophets say the Lord is good. Adesina

1. Many have said that prophecy has ceased, believe them not, for who can stop the mouth of all power and truth by the jangling sound of the foolish words of man?
2. I speak and my Elect hear and fools scoff in their folly.
3. I have approached you, my servant, for you hear my voice and write my words for the benefit of those only who have ears to hear and eyes to see.
4. My words are now constrained within me, for countless thousands who could have enjoyed my glory and my presence have rejected my words and allowed themselves to be led instead into confusion of mine adversary which the end thereof is death.
5. All who hear my voice and keep my commandments shall enjoy eternal life in my kingdom.
6. Those who loveth and maketh lies shall with the soothsayers, adulters, murders and abusers of nature shall with weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth be left without.
7. I have spoken and shall my words return to me void?
8. I know the end from the beginning and say unto you that all my truth that proceeds from my mouth shall be fulfilled.
9. You ask me why do you continually warn a people who refuse to hear. I say unto you, it is man that has a choice until death and man is allowed repentance, but my words do not fail nor do I have occasion to repent.
10. Believe me and act upon me and live, for to reject me and yet believe me is rebellion against your Creator.
11. The rebellious shall be left without with non-believers.
12. Happy is the man that reads these words and acts upon them repenting and drawing closer unto me, for I shall forgive the repentant and none shall be able to enter into my presence without repentance.
13. All have sinned and fallen short of the kingdom of God.
14. Mine eye can see into all things and there is nothing that is hidden and I know it not.
15. Seek righteousness mine Elect, and I will nurture you in more truth.
16. My kingdom has suffered because of the sins of the world and I weep for my lost children.
17. I call on Mine Elect to return unto me through repentance and humility, for pride has kept you from the plainness of my gospel.
18. Come unto me and keep my commandments and you shall live. Amen

1. The earth is mine and the fullness thereof, and I have prepared it as an inheritance and habitation for my children, but my children have risen up one against another and spilled their brother’s blood on the ground.
2. From the beginning my children have rebelled against my commandments and have run to evil.
3. They have polluted mine inheritance and denied me as their Father.
4. I called to them by the mouths of my prophets continually to repent and to return to their Father’s House, but few would heed my voice.
5. In mine anger I cast off the children of mine inheritance and have mourned their loss as a father who has lost his children.
6. When I consider the earth and the fullness thereof and observe the children of men who have multiplied upon the face thereof, I was grieved that only a few sought me out and desired to repent.
7. I have called out to the great multitude to repent by the mouth of my prophets, but they killed those sent to show them the way home to their Father’s House.
8. They will not allow truth and my commandments to interfere with their pleasure.
9. The intersession of my Son opened the way for all who would to follow, but most would not.
10. Shall I smite my wayward children perchance some would repent and seek that inheritance I have prepared for those who are faithful and true?
11. I am pained that my judgment must come forth upon the earth and all who are wicked must perish.
12. I shall gather a remnant who have heard my voice and are prepared and looking forth for my appearance.
13. The remnant shall receive a reward from my right hand and dwell with me in peace.
14. You, who hear, do not procrastinate, for the time shall come when the earth shall receive a just judgment.
15. Stand in holy places and keep yourselves unspotted from the world.
16. My peace I leave with my obedient children. They need not fear my judgment. Amen

1. Beyond the sight of man lies a vast expanse of things eternal.
2. Only by the power of my Spirit can mankind view these eternal creations.
3. You who hear these words can receive these wonders if you will but trust in my words and prepare your souls to receive a greater portion of my Spirit.
4. I have created mankind to live in eternity though there shall be some who refuse my gift of love.
5. To those who with joy and faith receive my Spirit I shall fulfill the words that promised that ye shall know as ye are known.
6. Vast stores of knowledge await those who will test my words with great faith.
7. The wisdom of those who are called wise shall perish, for their wisdom is swallowed up in pride and arrogance.
8. They look upon their fellowman with disdain and use their vast studies and learning to gain great wealth while withholding wages and impoverishing their fellow man.
9. They have used the gifts and talents that I gave them to uplift mankind for the purposes of defrauding mankind.
10. They may receive their reward in this life, but must stand before me to be judged by all their works.
11. In my kingdom those with the greatest talents are the servants of those with whom they live and with whom they associate.
12. Those who have more must share more.
13. This is not and shall not be by coercion, but by consent.
14. This must be done through great love and unselfishness of my saints.
15. Until my saints can live by a portion of my celestial law they will not be able to abide a fuller measure.
16. I have given my law sufficiently to bring my saints to a condition of righteousness that can enable them to bring again my Zion.
17. My servant Enoch drew close to me and perfected his ministry so that I could pour out my Spirit upon him to that extent that when he spoke, my power was in his words.
18. I await the response of my chosen priesthood to exercise the faith required for me to fill them with my Spirit and arm them with eternal truth in power.
19. Seek me, my children, while I am near. Amen
3 September, 2013 Number 320
1. I have given you line upon line, precept after precept and yet my children are not satisfied.
2. What must I do to cause you to listen?
3. Your indifference is deadly.
4. Have I not instructed you that I shall judge you by your works, yet you hesitate going neither forward nor backward.
5. Your actions are like a child who when instructed to accept a task, stands and looks at you and does nothing.
6. How shall I get your attention?
7. Shall it be with administrating stripes?
8.Awaken my children to a Fathers frustration.
9. I do not know what more I can do short of jolting you awake.
10. My counsel is benign, but mine anger is sharp unto my inattentive children.
11. My love for you has not ceased nor shall I give you up to indifference.
12. The cost is too great to let you sleep on not understanding the importance of your full attention.
13. Hear me and I will tell you of a Fathers concern and love for his children and what and how he has prepared a place in his realm for their eternal inheritance;
14. A place and a refuge from fear and evil; a place where my love bids my family that peace that all my righteous children seek.
15. My kingdom is a kingdom where truth and pure justice abide; a place where a grand reunion shall come to pass.
16. All will rejoice greatly when they are again able to embrace those of their loved ones who have been separated for a little while.
17. Great peace and joy shall pervade my grand reunion and shall make hearts swell within their bosoms.
18. My gathered children shall no more suffer the assaults of the wicked nor the lying and slander of the sons of disobedience.
19. Those who have chosen to follow the son of perdition and his captive children shall not return to their first estate, but are bound up and thrust into outer darkness no more able to taunt or destroy those who are unaware.
20. Blessed is he who overcomes temptation and turns his back to evil, for I shall draw him with cords of love into my kingdom.
21. Keep yourselves from the enticements of the evil one until you fulfill your sojourn through the world.
22. My love never ceases for my struggling obedient children. Amen §
The Lord gives us much. The many blessings we have are from him, because of his great mercy and compassion. Not every person is wealthy, nor does everyone possess the most impressive talents, but we’ve all still received a great many things from the Lord because of the kindness of his heart. Friends, family, the many good people around us, the food we eat, the roof over our heads, our means of transportation, and all other good things we have are thanks to him. Even life and breath are gifts from our Lord and Savior.
It can be hard to truly appreciate those multitudes of blessings when we grow accustomed to them. When we wake up, we expect the roof over our heads to still be there. When we are hungry, we expect there to be food. When we are tired, we expect our bed to be there. When we are thirsty, we expect water from the faucet. As we have more and more, we expect more and more according to what we already have. These expectations often have a way of making us less appreciative of what we have and what we receive. It could even be said that to expect something is the opposite of appreciating it.
Consider for a moment what our lives would be like if these blessings were to cease. To awake, and find that you no longer have that roof over your head. To be hungry, but there’s no food. To be naked, but have nothing to clothe yourself with. To be tired, and have no bed to sleep in. To thirst, but have no water. The Lord is so gracious to provide us these things. We have no means of repaying him for what he’s given us, and yet he still continues to pour out his blessings.
For all of these blessings, we should always be willing to give to him whatever he asks of us in return. When he asks us not to give in to temptation, it’s the least we can do to heed his words and resist. When he asks of us a tithe, we shouldn’t hesitate. When he wants us to expound his scriptures and teach those who wish to learn more of him and his church, we should be eager to do so. If he sends the poor to us, we should be willing to assist them. When he calls on us to visit the sick and the widow, we should do so with gladness. All of our blessings come from our Lord and Savior, who even gave the life of his own son for our sake. The Lord himself has told us what it takes to be worthy of the eternal life he offers his faithful children:
“And, behold, one came and said, Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God; but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness. Honor thy father and mother. And, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up; what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go, sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily, I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard this, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld their thoughts, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but if they will forsake all things for my sake, with God whatsoever things I speak are possible. Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, shall, in the resurrection, when the Son of Man shall come sitting on the throne of his glory, ye shall also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred-fold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many of the first shall be last, and the last first.” Mat 19:16-30
This man couldn’t give what the Lord asked of him. How many of us could do what the Lord asked of this man? If he came to everyone’s doorstep and asked for even a bit of food, how many would turn him away empty handed? If he said give up liquor, how many would refuse? If he begged his children with tears in his eyes to never smoke again, how many would go and do it again later? If we truly knew the answers to those questions, we would surely find them disturbing. It’s no different for him to give us commandments in his scriptures than to stand before us and plead that we cease our iniquity. §
Although the photography cannot tell the whole story, the Holy ordaining Ordinance was as real and complete as it can possibly be.
For God has called two more workers to perform their contribution and add their gifts and talents within his vineyard to participate in the end time works that they may too add to their works to the many who have gone before. Their works to be added to the Books of Heaven.

Once again I welcome all dear brothers and sisters in Christ and those searching out the gospel. Peace and love to you all and may the Lord add his understanding for you as you contemplate the gravity of these thoughts. Before I begin with details, let me give you a few scriptures for thought that prove the axiom, “in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. “
No. 1 “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 25:12
No. 2 “. . .prove all things, hold fast that which is good.” I Thessalonians 5:21
No. 3 “Whatsoever was written aforetime, were written for our learning.” Romans 15: 4
No. 4 “. . . two nations as witnesses.” 2Nephi 12:59
Are we spiritually prepared? For us to receive the Holy Ghost, spiritual manifestations and blessings from communion, we must prepare properly. “Therefore go to your homes and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask the Father, in my name, that ye may understand; and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come to you again.” (3 NE. 8:3) Do we prepare by reading just the Bible, or do we use both the Bible and the Book of Mormon? Do we read them daily or just once in a while? Do we witness when we have any opportunity ? Do we think we are serving the Lord when we just come to church for one hour each week ? If communion was not so very important, then why did Christ come over here and serve it again and again in just three days ? He knew this was the key to spiritual endowment.
The gospel is not something we participate in just to fill in our time or to make a show to some that we have religion in our life. It is something we do 24/7, It is something that comes from the heart. Serving the kingdom principles and doctrines should come with full purpose of heart, and if we live Christ’s two greatest commandments, “ Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, On these two commandments hang all the laws and the prophets”. We will have done all we can do. If we obey those two laws then the communion should be a priority with promise.
One of the main purposes of our existence ( Gentiles) is to witness to the world which includes friends, neighbors and all you meet. Prepare, prepare, prepare! Meet them in scriptures. It is so important to realize that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established. “Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness to you that I am God, that I remember one nation like another?” ( II NE. 12:59) Always use prayerful preparation.
I found it interesting in my searches, that communion is treated differently in syntax in the bible vs. the Book of Mormon. Without the plainness of the Book of Mormon, much is lost in the understanding we need. There are several things to compare: BIBLE – In Matthew, Mark and Luke , (which tell basically the same things) Christ instructs his apostles in what they are to do in preparation for the ordinance that was going to be instituted in the upper room. This was to be in preparation for his ultimate sacrifice on the cross. Notice that Christ did not partake of the bread and wine, but told them He would not partake until the last days when He returns. John takes a more spiritual approach and talks little of the Last Supper.
BOOK OF MORMON The Book of Mormon gives a much simpler example and fills in some of the gaps that leave room for interpretation, and puts Christ’s emphasis on the ordinance of the Communion.
3 Nephi Chapter’s 8, 9, and 12, During Christ’s visits they partook of the bread and wine several times while he was here on each visit, and he healed all the sick, lame, blind, etc., and set His Church in order.
8:32-41 [one ordained to serve sacrament (Nephi)] – After Christ had said many things he was very specific in verse 39, “When the disciples had done this, Jesus said to them, Blessed are ye for this thing which ye have done, for this is the fulfilling of my commandments, and this doth witness to the Father that ye are willing to do that which I have commanded you.”
8:44 “But those among you who shall do more or less than these are not built upon my rock, but are built upon a sandy foundation.”
8:60 “And now, behold, this is the commandment which I give to you, that ye shall not suffer anyone knowingly to partake of my flesh and blood unworthily, when ye shall minister it, for whosever eateh and drinketh my flesh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to his soul.” When those that serve the communion know this is so, it places a great burden on their hearts. What do the ministers have to consider as transgressions to hold back the sacrament from a member? We live in an expectant society that thinks it is a given right and no sacrifice or effort has to be put forth; Just give it to them without question. If we are living Christ-like lives we should feel no schisms or have ill feelings to prevent such a drastic event. The priesthood above all has to use righteous judgment and are required to do so, or the sins come upon their heads if they knowingly serve the sacrament to any that are unworthy. (3NE 8:60)
8:65 Christ goes on to say not to cast those out, but to work with them; “For ye know not but what he will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I will heal him, and ye shall be the means of bringing salvation to him.”
When I read this scripture it reminded me of how complacent many of us have become, not only priesthood, but members. There seems to be no contact with members by phone or visit. These are things that let people know they are appreciated and needed. You continually hear the adage “well, we just have so much to do in our individual lives”. When you entered the waters of baptism, and took the first communion, you made an everlasting covenant to prefer your neighbor as yourself. When I was a child I spake as a child, but now I’m no longer a child I put away childish things. (paraphrased) That means quit being selfish and,” thinking of just yourself!” Go out of your way, reach out and touch someone.
In Mark Chapter 10:27- 29 Peter says, “We have left all, and have followed thee.” “And Jesus answered and said, “Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come, eternal life.” If the ministers of his gospel are not doing what Christ just said, then their spirituality is lacking. I’m sure this is why Paul spent so much time talking about not having a family.
It is interesting in the bible (Matt. 25:57) and the Book of Mormon (9:30) that Christ prayed the same prayer, not for the world but for those that the Lord had given him (the twelve). Look it up and remember it for witnessing as corroborating testimony.
I am saddened by the many factions of the heritage church that exist today. We are told over and over, If ye are not one, ye are not mine. Even in our own church, whatever it might be, many are so busy with their life they can’t even call people that are ill or need spiritual growth. In this time of modern technology and transportation this should not be. Imagine those pioneer ministers that walked 400 miles in deep snow to do the Lord’s errands.
“We are saved by grace when we have done all we can do.” BoM 2 Nephi 11: 44
Communion is a revelation from God (Christ) because Christ is revelation, “. . .Yea, woe be to him that shall deny the revelations of the Lord.” BoM 3 Nephi 13:59
If done with full purpose of heart, communion is our way out of Babylon and her evil ways.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6: 12, 13 J.D.W.

One man is as good as another, if he behaves as well, and that all men should be esteemed alike, without regard to distinction's of an official nature.
The resolutions passed through the quorum of the Deacons by their unanimous voice.
It was then thrown before the president of the Teachers and his council and passed unanimously—
Next into the hands of the president of the Priests & his council and passed unanimously.
Then into the hands of the Bishop's council of Kirtland & passed unanimously.
From them to the Bishop of Zion & his council & passed unanimously—
Next into the hands of the president of the high priests & his Elders & his council & passed unanimously.
From them into the hands of the president of the High-Priests & his council and passed unanimously.
Next into the hands of the presidents of the 70. & passed unanimously
From them to the high council of Zion Kirtland & passed unanimously—
From them to the high council of Kirtland & passed unanimously.
And lastly into the hands of the 12, & passed unanimously.
Into the hands of the presidency of the Church & all the quorums and received their sanction. having now passed through all the quorums, the resolutions are received as a Law to govern the Church
Note: If the passage of a resolution that reads, “ One man is as good as another, etc., becomes a law to govern the church, then should not all resolutions effecting the church require this same scrutiny and vote by each of the full quorums in representation of the peoples common consent rights?§

What Is Official Doctrine, and How Is It Established?
One of the best-kept secrets in Mormondom is “What is Official Doctrine, and how is it established.”
Church leaders seldom discuss the process, because Official Doctrine is rarely introduced. Yet Church history reveals a clearly established procedure that has been carefully followed for over 180 years. D&C 28:13 explains “all things must be done in order, and by common consent in the church, by the prayer of faith." Since the Church was founded in 1830, new doctrine has been accepted six times. On every occasion, a three-step process was followed to add Official Doctrine: It requires the approval of the First Presidency, the concurrence of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, and then it must be accepted in a sustaining vote of the entire membership.
Only then is it binding on the membership of the Church. The change will then be made to the body of accepted (canonized) scriptures. Those occasions are:
1830 Bible and Book of Mormon were officially accepted with the organization of the Church
1835 Doctrine and Covenants, first 103 sections were officially accepted
1880 Doctrine and Covenants additional 32 sections were accepted along with the Pearl of Great Price
1890 Polygamy was repealed (Official Declaration, p. 291)
1976 D&C sections 137 & 138 were officially accepted
1978 The priesthood was made available to all worthy males regardless of race. (Official Declaration p. 292)
Also, in 1921 the Church removed the Lectures on Faith from the Doctrine and Covenants, with the explanation that they were never presented to the Church as being divinely revealed scripture. As lectures and lessons, it was determined that they simply did not measure up to standard of Official Doctrine. Elder B. H. Roberts explained what Official Doctrine is:
The Church has confined the sources of doctrine by which it is willing to be bound before the world to the things that God has revealed, and which the Church has officially accepted, and those alone. These would include the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price; these have been repeatedly accepted and endorsed by the Church in general conference assembled, and are the only sources of absolute appeal for our doctrine.” §

The Name of the Brother of Jared
The Papers of Reynolds Cahoon, 1831-1865 Catalogued (Described) by John Hajicek for “MormonHill” on eBay Mahonri Moriancumer Cahoon (1834-1888). This youngest son’s principal accomplishment was at birth, in being famously named by Joseph Smith: “While residing in Kirtland, Elder Reynolds Cahoon had a son born to him. One day when President Joseph Smith was passing his door he called the Prophet in to bless and name the baby. Joseph did so and gave the boy the name of Mahonri Moriancumer. When he had finished the blessing he laid the child on the bed, and turning to Elder Cahoon said, ‘The name I have given your son is the name of the brother of Jared; the Lord has just shown (or revealed) it to me.’ Elder William F. Cahoon, who was standing near, heard the Prophet make this statement to his father; and this was the first time the name of the brother of Jared was known in the Church in this dispensation.” The name of Moriancumer” as the answer to the unnamed “brother of Jared” in the Book of Mormon first appears in Mormon teachings in the April 1835 issue of the Messenger and Advocate within the letters of Oliver Cowdery, whilst Mahonri Moriancumer was born earlier on 26 July 1834. He is immortalized in the
number of people named after him, including the Mormon artist Mahonri Young
(the son of Mahonri Moriancumer Young, the son of Brigham Young), and his (Cahoon’s) given name was mentioned as a curiosity among Joseph Smith’s family birth names in an 1869 English book entitled Greater Britain. At 16, he accompanied his 26-year-old brother Andrew to the gold rush 1850-1852, and returned to Great Salt Lake City to take a Romney bride in 1853.§

You will understand then, by this, that while those glorious things were being rehearsed, the vision was also opened, so that our brother was permitted to see and understand much more full and perfect than I am able to communicate in writing. I know much may be conveyed to the understanding in writing, and many marvelous truths set forth with the pen, but after all it is but a shadow, compared to an open vision of seeing, hearing and realizing eternal things. And if the fact was known, it would be found, that of all the heavenly communications to the ancients, we have no more in comparison than the alphabet to a quarto vocabulary. It is said, and I believe the account, that the Lord showed the brother of Jared [Moriancumer] all things which were to transpire from that day to the end of the earth, as well as those which had taken place.§
CIVIL WAR PROPHECY CONTAINED IN THE BOOK OF COMMANDMENTS OF 1833
JOSEPH SMITH’S PROPHECY ABOUT THE FUTURE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR WAS CLEARLY GIVEN AND PUBLISHED A FULL TWENTY EIGHT AND A HALF YEARS prior to the 12 th of April 1861 when Fort Sumter, South Carolina was fired upon by Confederate forces.
The prophecy given 25 December 1832 reads as follows:
1 VERILY, thus saith the Lord concerning the wars that will shortly come to pass, beginning at the rebellion of South Carolina, which will eventually terminate in the death and misery of many souls;
2 And the time will come that war will be poured out upon all nations, beginning at this place.
3 For behold, the Southern States shall be divided against the Northern States, and the Southern States will call on other nations, even the nation of Great Britain, as it is called, and they shall also call upon other nations, in order to defend themselves against other nations; and then war shall be poured out upon all nations.
4 And it shall come to pass, after many days, slaves shall rise up against their masters, who shall be marshaled and disciplined for war.
5 And it shall come to pass also that the remnants who are left of the land will marshal themselves, and shall become exceedingly angry, and shall vex the Gentiles with a sore vexation.
6 And thus, with the sword and by bloodshed the inhabitants of the earth shall mourn; and with famine, and plague, and earthquake, and the thunder of heaven, and the fierce and vivid lightning also, shall the inhabitants of the earth be made to feel the wrath, and indignation, and chastening hand of an Almighty God, until the consumption decreed hath made a full end of all nations;
7 That the cry of the saints, and of the blood of the saints, shall cease to come up into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, from the earth, to be avenged of their enemies.
